Ilderton Foundation
Ilderton Foundation is a social enterprise that creates and manages services for young people. Their main aim is to develop and enhance the lives of young people by providing them with training and education in a subject in which they have an interest. As a result help them gain personal and educational skills along with a encouraging them to have a positive outlook on the future. The Ilderton Foundation also aims to improve community safety and reduce crime, particularly car crime by making a contribution.
The Ilderton Foundation does not only focus on cars and bikes, instead they motivating young people to participate in activities that inspire them. Recent projects have included theatre workshops that have lead to a public performance. Ilderton Foundation also creates outreach program for areas with specific needs and manage a summer program of school holiday activities.
Ilderton Foundation projects are funded by youth bodies, Government and European organisations who buy our services, and by charitable donations from foundations and individuals.
Brands Hatch Day
On the 18th July 2009 Dominic invited 54 youngsters from the Ilderton Motor Project to join him at Brands Hatch Circuit to watch rounds 7 & 8 in the FIA Formula 2 Championships.
The day included a coach trip to and from Brands Hatch for all guests, with admission to the circuit for the day. Along with pit pass where they took part in a memorable grid walk and also had the opportunity to get close to the Williams JPH1 F2 cars and meet some of the Formula 2 drivers, including this year's champion Andy Soucek.
